Birkenhead Park Festival of Transport has since its beginning in 2008 been run by a small band of dedicated Community Volunteers who come together every year to make this Show even bigger and better.
Volunteers will be involved in all aspects of planning and running the show from marshalling road closures, directing Exhibitors and Traders to their pitchs, manning gates, dealing with the public, setting up the show and taking it down and many many more tasks as well.
Each Volunteer will be given free refreshments through out the day including Breakfast and Lunch as well as tea, coffee and soft drinks.
This will be a great experience for you personally or to add to your CV especially for sixth form or University students. You will be working as part of a team and be supervised by senior stewards many of whom have been with the show since its beginning.
You will meet new friends with similar interests and be personally involved in this spectacular Community based event to support our heritage and history, and where else are you going to get so close to pieces of real history that are a hundred plus years old and still work ?
We are looking for Volunteers to fill the following roles and more:
- Information staff
- Gate staff
- Set up and take down crews
Take a look at our Shows Flyer for this year to get a taste of what we, and You could be doing. click here.
So if you would like to give your support by becoming a Volunteer at this great Community based event please click on this link to register your interest in becoming a Volunteer and we will contact you about it. You too could become part of the Biggest and Best Show on the Wirral.
